Smart mobility
For a long time it sounded like science fiction: self-driving cars, vehicles that are in contact with each other and intelligent traffic control systems. With smart developments in the field of mobility happening at an ever-faster pace, smart mobility is no longer science fiction.
Connected is a pioneer in the world of smart mobility and has been actively involved in many different national and international smart mobility projects for years. Our organisation works for governments (at the state, provincial and municipal level), the business community, and knowledge and research institutes.
Smart energy
Views on energy use are changing rapidly. This is a positive trend, because it is possible to use energy much more efficiently.
Thanks to innovative solutions, data and other information, we can use energy in a much smarter way. New sources of energy are also emerging, such as hydrogen. Connected developed a smart energy plan in Canada.

Smart water
Climate change makes smart use of water a necessity. Not only with drinking water – which is in danger of becoming a scarce commodity worldwide – but also with the water around us. Technological developments can help with that.
For example, it is possible to equip dyke and coastal reinforcements with smart sensors. This makes it easy to gauge the water level and take immediate action if problems arise. Connected worked on themes and projects such as the creation of Europe's largest water squares, healthy and sufficient water, water safety such as coastal and dyke reinforcement projects, including the unique dyke parking garage inside the coastal reinforcements in Katwijk.
Smart city
How do you keep a large city accessible, sustainable, healthy and liveable? Rapidly growing cities around the world are faced with that question. The latest technology and smart solutions are the answer.
By making use of this, the city transforms into a smart city in which sensors measure the crowds, air quality and noise. Real-time data shows where there are still free parking spaces or at which location a shared vehicle is available. And there are plenty of other smart solutions that keep the city liveable. Smart city is therefore the future.

Smart circularity
The circular economy is now an integral part of our society. Whether it's collecting waste or empty bottles, reusing clothing or solar panels that generate sustainable energy; it all starts with people.
Connected wants to actively contribute and is therefore committed to projects and programmes in the field of circular economy.
Smart climate
A smart and sustainable economy is increasingly in sight. Attention is paid to so-called connected and multimodal hubs (smaller transhipment points for goods in and/or on the outskirts of municipalities). There are also more and more smart traffic lights and sensors that better guide and distribute traffic throughout the city.
In order to respond to climate change, we need to reduce CO2 and particulate matter emissions and focus on the use of hydrogen. Connected is linked to various projects that actively contribute to the Paris climate objectives.
